Tover Home Maxi / Medium Traffic Water Based Floor Lacquer – Where to use

This water based floor lacquer from Tover can be used to seal, protect and enhance all types of wooden floors, wooden furniture, wooden doors, frames, handles, etc. It can be applied directly on the wood or over a primer. To be applied in a three coat system to maximise its potential. You can do 1 coat of primer and two coats of lacquer or 3 coats of lacquer with 2-3 hours break between coats. The new Tover Home Maxi / Medium Traffic Water Based Floor Lacquer is suitable for indoor use only. This product is not compatible with oil based wood stains. Your coverage area is somewhere around 10-12 sq meters per 1L but it can vary from job to job. A wood surface poorly sanded is likely to absorb more lacquer. You can achieve a natural finish with the matt finish.

Tover Home Maxi / Medium Traffic Water Based Floor Lacquer – How to use

You will need to make sure that the wood surface is sealant free, clean, dry & dust free. Usually, the wood surface has to be finished with 80 grit sandpaper. You can apply a solvent based or a water based wood floor primer, you can apply a coloured or a clear wood floor primer or a water based wood stain (not compatible with oil based wood stains) and then prepare for lacquering. Apply lacquer around the narrow areas and all areas where the varnishing roller cannot fit. Use a quality varnishing brush to achieve proper results. About 2-3 hours later, after the surface is 100% dry, sand the whole floor one more time with 120-189 grit sandpaper, vacuum the dust and apply the last coat. Your floor should look spotless, streak free and patch free. Do not walk on the surface while drying and do not mix up different types of floor lacquers.
