While the new Chimiver Velurex Re-Pair Matt | Wood Floor Polish was designed to seal and restore all kinds of wooden surfaces that were sealed with a water based or a solvent based floor lacquer, the product can also be used on all other types of surfaces besides “oiled” wooden floors or highly polished tiles like porcelain tiles. Compatible with all brands of water based and solvent based floor lacquers | varnishes. It can be used on indoor walls, floors, furniture, worktops, toys, etc. This product is very matt. Use it to restore and rebuild the lost protection on all residential and commercial wood floors.

Chimiver Velurex Re-Pair Matt | Wood Floor Polish | How To Use It

Start with a quick surface assessment. Bear in mind that the estimated coverage area is “estimated”. The actual coverage will depend on the type of surface, porosity and the way it is applied. Always buy a bit of extra product to make sure that you are not left with no wood polish in the middle of a project.

1. Wash the floor with a wood floor cleaner or a degreaser

2. Vacuum the floor a number of times before working on it

3. Prepare your tools : 1 flat mop, the product itself and some microfiber cloths

4. Start applying a thin coat of wood floor polish moving along the fiber of the wood

5. When done, ventilate the room and do not walk on the surface for 1-2 hours

6. A second coat is possible but not necessary in all cases

After the floor is sealed and dry, all pre-existing dull patches should have been removed. Imperfections to the wood itself cannot be removed without sanding the surface, but 1-2 coats of the new Chimiver Velurex Re-Pair Matt | Wood Floor Polish will make it less visible.
