Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer | Where To Use It

The new Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer can be used to seal all high traffic commercial wooden floors but it can also be used within the residential market on wooden floors that receive more than usual traffic or wooden floors that are used by excited pets. The product will dry in a matter of minutes and the area can be opened up to normal traffic within hours. Use the new Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer to seal all kinds of hardwood floors, semi solid wood floors, wood furniture, wood doors and other types of wooden surfaces.

Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer | How To Use It

Prepare the surface to perfection before using the new Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer on it. The product can be used as the main sealer or it can be used to overcoat pre-existing finishes that have lost their protection. The wooden surface will require sanding up to grit 100 and priming or staining before applying the lacquer.

1. If the user is planning to seal a pre-sealed surface that has visible damage, the surface has to be sanded in full until all marks are removed. Start with grit 40 and go up to 100 grit maximum.

2. If the surface that has to be sealed is still in a great shape but it requires a bit of extra protection, the surface should be deep cleaned and then lightly screened with 100-120 grit sanding screens to create some abrasions.

3. Apply the wood stain if a stain is required or prime the surface if a primer is required. Allow it to dry for about 2 hours and then proceed to lacquering.

4. Mix up the hardener with the lacquer making sure that the composition is mixed evenly and allowed to rest for 5 minutes.

5. Using a small varnishing brush make sure to apply the lacquer around all the narrow corners and edges where the varnishing roller cannot fit. Use a great quality varnishing roller to varnish the larger areas. Move along with the fiber of the wood to achieve a perfect result. The second coat should be done after about 2 hours. Light sanding between the coats is highly recommended. Use 180 to 320 sanding screens to sand between the coats.

Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer | Recommendations

Do not use the new Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer without mixing up the product with the hardener. Only mix up the amount of lacquer that is likely to be used within 2 hours. A minimum of 2 coats is recommended. Do not apply the new Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer over dirty or damaged surfaces. Do not dilute the lacquer and do not leave puddles of floor lacquer over the floor. Do not walk on the surface while drying.  Store the product away from direct sunlight.
