You need to understand that the most important thing to consider before applying the new Chimiver ECOPRIME HS 120 CROM | Solvent Effect Primer is the fact that the surface has to be 100% sealant free, dry and dust free. For the wood primer to create its unique toning effect, it has to penetrate the wood in full and dry inside the wood. Also to remember, a wood primer is not a lacquer so it has to be overcoated with a water based floor lacquer.

1. Prepare the product. Mix up the hardener with the primer and do nothing for about 10 minutes until both components have bonded together.
2. Using a small varnishing brush apply the product around the edges and all the hard to reach areas. Use a large varnishing brush to prime all the large floor areas.
3. The surface has to look evenly wet but without any puddles on it. Any excess product should be rolled out until the floor has absorbed it.
4. Allow about 1-2 hours to dry. Do not walk on the surface while the lacquer is drying and do not attempt to sand the surface if the primer is not 100% dry.
5. When the primer is touch dry, you should do one more light sanding with 180 grit sanding paper to remove all the excess product and all the rough patches. Vacuum well and proceed to lacquering.

Only apply the wood primer to dry and unsealed wood surfaces. Do not mix up the product with any other wood primers or floor lacquers. Do not apply the new Chimiver ECOPRIME HS 120 CROM | Solvent Effect Primer over wood stains or floor oils. The product has to be overcoated with 1 coat of two pack floor lacquer or two coats of single pack floor lacquer. Store the product safely in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
