Cracks on wood floors or furniture and gaps between the floorboards can be very annoying. Replacing an old floorboard just because it has a crack on it is not always a realistic solution. Carver Seal / Coloured Wood Gap Filler – How to use 

If you are planning to seal or repair small areas, you should apply masking tape around the edges of the gaps to avoid applying the sealer on the finish of the wood. You will need a silicone gun, a small scraper, a sharp knife, a pair of gloves and time to do the job right. Cut the top of the silicone tube. Insert the tube into the silicone gun. Install the applicator head. Cut a small hole in the applicator head and start applying the sealer to the gap until the gap looks full. With a small scraper remove all the excess silicone from the surface. The coat of silicone has to be level with the floor and has to be smooth as well. If you notice some air bubbles or imperfections, apply more silicone. The drying time can vary from floor to floor but you should expect 2-5 hours depending on ventilation. The 4 colours of seal will match pretty much all types of wood colours.

The new Carver Seal / Coloured Wood Gap Filler can be sanded, stained, oiled or varnished without any problems. The actual coverage area will depend on the size of the gaps and the number of gaps per square meter.
